My Hero


I pinched my finger while unbuckling Tot’s car seat and said “Ow!”

Tot: What happened, Mommy?

Me: I pinched my finger in your seat belt. I’ll be okay.

{We continued getting out, and I closed the door.}

Tot: Mommy, open the door! I need to tell that seat belt!

{I opened the door.}

Tot: Seat belt, do NOT pinch my mommy. OK? That’s not nice; we don’t do that.
Mommy, I telled that seat belt.
 
Me: Thank you, Honey. I’ll be ok, it was an accident.
