Talk About It

Tot and one of our dear adult friends have a little knuckle bump ritual of "pound it...blow it up...talk about it!" The motions are knuckle bump...jazz hand...universal thumb-pinky telephone placed near the face.

Sunday after church, we headed to a local park to play in the warm weather. My diabolical plan was that it would wear Tot out enough to take a good nap in the afternoon...no such luck*. Anyway, the park was fun. Tot rode his bicycle some and climbed a LOT. One of the climbing structures is built into a larger play structure with slides, stairs and a diagram of the alphabet in sign language. Tot climbed to the top near the diagram, studied it for a bit and said, "Mommy, look! Talk about it!"

*Attempting to put Tot down for a nap on the weekend is just nearly to the point of not worth the hassle. He needs the nap, and we need the break, but it's become A Process. Silver lining: he goes to sleep beautifully at bedtime!
