It's a good thing we knew that all along because I really disliked the balance of Tot's room with both his dresser and bookcase in the room the way that accommodated everything. It felt like his room was going to tip over under the weight of all that furniture!
On a whim last week, I found myself at The Container Store* looking for some organizational tools for work. I found those, and I also found a bookcase. I knew immediately upon seeing it that it would work for the space and that I could free up a lot of floor in Tot's room. Enter a room makeover!
Useless corner to the left.
Topless toy chest in the center.
Light and airy!
The toy chest was relocated to the floor of the closet.
We purged a few books and had to reoganize the puzzles.
Heavy corner of doom.
Ahhh! This corner can breathe again.
The basket between the dreser and bean bag
used to store Tot's books, now it's full of shoes.
Tot's colorful quilt.
Light, colorful, & fun. Tot loves it. I love it.
Tot's most played with toys.
*This is NOT a sponsored post. We purchsed this bookshelf with our own money, and I assembled it with a little help from Tot.
